Every fall, IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law hosts employers who wish to interview our students for summer internships, summer associate positions and permanent positions. We welcome all types of employers:
- Large, Midsize and Small Firms;
- Federal, State and Local Government Agencies;
- Not-for-Profit Agencies;
- In-house Legal Departments; and
- Consulting and Accounting Firms
Our upcoming program will begin on August 11, 2014.* Interviews are conducted at the Chicago-Kent campus, which is located in downtown Chicago. There is a $95.00 registration fee for all law firms and corporations. After registering, you will receive an invoice regarding payment of fees. Government offices and public interest organizations are exempt from the registration fees.
You can register for On-Campus Interviews via our Symplicity system, or by submitting a registration form by mail, fax or email. For more detailed information, please see our FAQs, or if you are participating as an interviewer, please see our Interviewer Information page.
Joint OCI for Out-of-State Employers
Are you located outside of the Chicago area, and interested in interviewing Chicago area law students but concerned about the cost-effectiveness of sending an interviewer here? We can set up a Joint On-Campus Interview for you! Joint OCIs are hosted by Chicago-Kent but we invite students from other Chicago area law schools to apply. To find out more about this program, go to our Joint On-Campus Interview page.
Other Fall Recruiting Options
Under the Resume Collect program, we collect and prescreen resumes per your designated criteria and then forward them to you collectively via email on a designated date.
Interview selection is handled by our Symplicity on-line bidding system. Employers may set their hiring criteria, and only students that meet that hiring criteria may bid for an interview; however, employers are not able to prescreen student resumes. The interview schedules are all assigned by lottery. After the interview schedule has been assigned, employers are then able to view their interview schedule, the resumes of all students on their interview schedule, and the resumes of all students that bid for an interview but did not receive one (waitlist students). If any employer is interested in adding an interview schedule to meet with students on their waitlist, we are happy to assist with this. Furthermore, employers are always welcome to contact students from their waitlist directly to schedule interviews at their offices.
The Career Services staff looks forward to working with you in your recruiting efforts. If we can be of any assistance, please contact us. We are available Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. by phone at (312) 906-5200, by fax at (312) 906-5171, or by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
*Please note, we know that recent economic conditions have made recruiting so far in advance difficult on many employers. We have specifically not placed an end date on our Fall Recruiting Program to allow employers the flexibility that they need. Please contact Jeanne Kraft at email@example.com or (312) 906-5223 if you have questions.
