Technology Training & Marketing Librarian
Emily earned her B.A. magna cum laude from Wheaton College in 2005, with a double major in English Literature and Art Education. In 2008 she received her M.S.L.I.S. from the University of Illinois with a faculty special award of merit.
Emily joined the library in 2005 as Assistant to the Library Director and transitioned to a professional librarian position in 2008. Emily works with faculty on a variety projects from the use of Twitter in the classroom, to creation of faculty blogs and online surveys for research projects. She teaches introductory legal tech workshops in the legal writing program and offers other tech training as requested.
As a member of the school's social media working group, Emily provides content for the school's Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Google+ accounts and provides event photograpy that is archived on the school's Flickr account.
She supports our student organization websites along with faculty and department blogs using WordPress, offering managed hosting and training to create accessible, easy to manage websites.
Professional Associations and Presentations
Emily is a member of the American Association of Law Libraries and regularly presents at the annual CALI conference. She is also a member of the organizing committee for WordCamp Chicago.
