Scott Vanderlin earned his Bachelor's Degree with Honors in English and Classics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In 2008, he graduated cum laude from Northern Illinois University College of Law and was admitted to the Illinois Bar. While in law school, Scott served as a Research Assistant and was a judicial extern for the Honorable Ron Jacobson of the15th Circuit. In 2009, Scott earned his M.L.I.S. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Scott was a Reference Associate and taught first year legal research for three years at the Pritzker Legal Research Center at Northwestern University School of Law. Since coming to Chicago-Kent in 2011, Scott has designed interactive QR codes for library resources and created videos to illustrate legal research concepts, as well as our library tour video.
Scott is an active member of the Chicago Association of Law Libraries (CALL), where he serves as co-chair of the CALL Continuing Education Committee, and as a member of the Community Service and Public Relations and Internet Committees. Scott won the 2012 CALL award for Outstanding In-House Publication for his QR Code displays.
