How did you first become interested in law school?
I went to New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina through my undergraduate institution for two weeks. During my time there, I volunteered with the New Orleans Pro Bono Project and decided that I want to do similar work.
Why did you choose Chicago-Kent?
What I want most out of law school are phenomenal research and writing skills. Kent's focus on these areas convinced me that this was the right school for me.
What do you think prepared you best for law school?
CLEO. Absolutely everyone who is eligible for the CLEO program should apply. It is an incredible experience that will help you adjust to the demands of law school. You will also meet the best people, developing networks before you've even had your first day of class.
What have you enjoyed most about your Chicago-Kent experience?
Getting involved with the many different student organizations has been so much fun. You get to meet people outside your sections who share your interests, help you out before you even ask, and put together wonderful events.
What advice would you give to someone considering law school?
Be passionate, be interested, be hardworking, and enjoy your time here.
What do you like most about Chicago?
Compared to what I am accustomed to, Chicago rent prices are insanely, remarkably cheap.
Where do you plan to practice after graduation?
Most likely New York.
