How did you first become interested in law school?
I wanted to work at the intersection between technology and business. Patent law struck the right balance. I was also inspired when working with an attorney who took care of my problems in a tenant-landlord dispute. In other words, I want to help people in the technology/business space.
Why did you choose Chicago-Kent?
I wanted to continue receiving hands-on legal experience from my employer and to complement that with a legal education. Being the best part-time program in the Chicago area, the choice was easy.
What do you think prepared you best for law school?
The rigorous engineering curriculum experienced as an undergraduate prepared me for the critical analysis required in understanding cases.
What have you enjoyed most about your Chicago-Kent experience?
The diversity of career backgrounds of my fellow classmates- from gourmet chefs to police officers.
What advice would you give to someone considering law school?
Expose yourself to the workforce before law school, and figure out how a law degree can complement that experience to meet your career ambitions.
What do you like most about Chicago?
Biking to work, music scene, unlimited restaurants, Lake Shore trail
Where do you plan to practice after graduation?
