Certificate in Estate and Trust Taxation

Application Requirements and Procedures

Starting in fall 2019, attorneys and non-attorneys are invited to enroll in the Estate and Trust Taxation certificate program at Chicago-Kent College of Law. Courses are drawn from the Graduate Program in Taxation and allow tax professionals to focus on a specific area of contemporary tax practice. Students must complete two required courses plus one elective course to earn the certificate.

Program Courses & Schedule

The certificate program consists of the following three courses: 

Estate Planning: Fundamentals (Law 693)   

Estate Planning: Techniques and Strategies (Law 699)

Certificate Program Tuition

The cost for the certificate program is $1,500 per course for a total program tuition of $4,500. Tuition is paid per course and is due at the start of each semester.
