Trish Abbott is from Newcastle in northern England. She graduated with honors from the University of London with a B.A. in History, and later graduated with honors from the University of Durham with an M.A. in Youth Education. Prior to law school, Trish worked for two years as a human rights worker in Colombia and for three years as a Youth Worker in Newcastle, educating young people at risk of entering the criminal justice system. She also visited Iran as part of a peace delegation and was part of an international team which monitored the fairness of the 2010 Colombian Presidential elections.

During her time at Chicago Kent, Trish worked as a Judicial Extern for Supreme Court Justice Anne Burke, was Executive Submissions Editor for the Journal of International and Comparative Law, and was a member of the 2013 Jessup International Moot Court. She received a PILI award during her 1L summer to work on issues affecting public school children in the south side of Chicago. Trish is a certified Yoga teacher, and in her spare time enjoys practicing and teaching yoga, as well a reading and exploring Chicago. She will be joining the law firm of Hodges, Loizzi, Eisenhammer, Rodick and Kohn in August 2013 as an Associate Attorney.
