Class of 2013

Qi was born in Shanghai and moved to the United States when he was ten.  After moving to the US, he lived in the Chicago suburbs until college. He earned his B.S. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Iowa State University, with a focus on semi-conductor laser materials. Prior to joining Chicago-Kent, Qi worked in Santa Barbara as an applications engineer working with atomic force microscopes used by semi-conductor manufacturing companies.

During his time at Chicago-Kent, Qi was an Executive Articles Editor for the Chicago-Kent Law Review for the 2012-2013 school year. He also spent a semester with Justice Robert E. Gordon of the Illinois Appellate Court as a legal extern.

Qi will be joining the corporate department of Mayer Brown in October of 2013.
