Ashley Montalbano graduated magna cum laude from The George Washington University with a degree in International Affairs and a minor in Socio-Cultural Anthropology. While pursuing her degree, she studied and lived in Barcelona, Spain and Dublin, Ireland. Prior to attending law school, Ashley worked as a paralegal at a boutique law firm based in Washington, D.C.

The summer after her first year of law school, Ashley worked as a judicial extern for Judge Lee Preston, a chancery division judge in the Circuit Court of Cook County. She spent the second half of her summer interning in the compliance department of Nuveen Investments, Inc.

During her second year, Ashley co-founded the Chicago-Kent Corporate Law Society and worked as a research assistant for Chicago-Kent Professor William Birdthistle, helping him with research on investment funds. Ashley is also a member of the Chicago-Kent Law Review. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, bike riding, and spending time with family and friends.
