Tyra Blew graduated from the University of Kansas with a double-major in political science and economics. Prior to attending law school, Tyra worked for a national political campaign in Washington, D.C. and obtained a Master of Arts degree in political science from Oklahoma State University.

While at Chicago-Kent, Tyra participated in the Mediation and ADR clinic and volunteered as a mediator with the Center for Conflict Resolution. She also served as managing editor for the Chicago-Kent Journal of International and Comparative Law, assisted with a comparative labor law study conducted by Professor Martin Malin, and worked for the Oyez Project with Professor Jerry Goldman. Tyra developed an interest in corporate law through Chicago-Kent's externship programs with DLA Piper, Accenture, and Mérieux NutriSciences and is now an associate attorney with the corporate practice group at Seigfreid Bingham, P.C. in downtown Kansas City. In her free time, Tyra enjoys exploring new neighborhoods with her dog, Atticus, connecting with Kansas City's entrepreneurial community, and cheering on the Kansas Jayhawks.
