Class of 2019
Rebecca studied philosophy at Colorado College. Between college and law school, Rebecca worked with City Year, taught English in Chile, and worked as a legal assistant in an immigration law firm. Rebecca is passionate about immigration law. As a 2L, Rebecca served as president of the Immigration Law Society, and helped organize and lead a service trip to the South Texas Residential Facility in Dilley, Texas, to provide pro bono legal services to detained mothers and children seeking asylum.
Rebecca has spent both law school summers working on behalf of indigent non-citizens. After her 1L year she was an intern with the Immigrant and Workers' Rights practice group of LAF. After her 2L year, she worked in the Immigration Unit of the Public Defender Services in Washington, D.C. Currently, she is a legal extern with NIJC's Children's Protection Project. Rebecca is also a member of the Chicago-Kent Law Review and the Moot Court Honor Society. She loves crossword puzzles and good conversation.
