Alan Shramuk

Class of 2020

Alan Shramuk received a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering and a B.A. in Japanese Language and Culture from the University of Rochester. He graduated cum laude from the University of Rochester, with distinction in ECE and with high distinction in Japanese. He was also the recipient of the Donald M. Barnard Prize in Engineering and the Mildred Burton Award for Excellence in Japanese.

Alan also attended graduate school at the University of Rochester, where he received his M.S. in Electrical Engineering, with concentrations in Superconductivity and Solid State Devices as well as Optoelectronics.

At Chicago-Kent, Alan served as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Intellectual Property as well as the Faculty Liaison for the Intellectual Property Law Society. As a 3L, Alan is also serving as the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Intellectual Property and the Vice President of the Intellectual Property Law Society.

Alan spent his summers after 1L and 2L year as a summer associate at Marshall, Gerstein & Borun, where he will be working after graduation as an associate after being admitted to the bar.
