Class of 2021

Charlie Gandelman graduated with highest honors from Brandeis University, majoring in Islamic and Middle Eastern Studies. Prior to law school, he worked for the Brookings Institution in Doha, Qatar, and for BlackRock in Philadelphia and Chicago.

As a 1L at Chicago-Kent, Charlie served as a Research Assistant for Professor Lori Andrews and spent his summer in the Illinois Attorney General’s Antitrust Bureau. During his 2L summer, he was a Summer Associate at Kirkland & Ellis, where he plans to return upon graduation. Charlie is an Executive Articles Editor for the Law Review and has served as a Teaching Assistant for Contracts and Constitutional Law.

In his free time, Charlie enjoys growing hot peppers, cheering on the White Sox, and volunteering with refugee communities in Chicago.
