Special LL.M. and Overseas Training Programs: Chicago-Kent and Chiang Mai University, Chiang Mai, Thailand

In partnership with Chiang Mai University in Chiang Mai Thailand (CMU), Chicago-Kent and CMU are excited to offer two law courses taught by Chicago-Kent professors as part of an Overseas Training Program.  CMU law students start the program at their home university in Chiang Mai, and if they successfully complete the two courses, they are approved for admission to the LL.M. Program in U.S., International & Transnational Law and will receive substantial tuition and other benefits.

For further information on this outstanding program and opportunity for law students, please visit: www.law.cmu.ac.th/cmu-ck

Applicants must be proficient in English and either hold a first degree in law or have made substantial progress towards their first degree in law. For students who are admitted and later enrolled in the LL.M. program at Chicago-Kent, but who have not yet completed their first degree in law, Chicago-Kent will hold their LL.M. degree until their home school verifies that the student has completed their first degree in law.  Admission to Chicago-Kent's LL.M. is based on a students’ academic performance in the two courses offered at CMU and English language skills.  All applicants to Chicago-Kent’s LL.M. program are required to submit a complete application, including an application form (on-line), a personal essay. law school transcripts, and two letters of recommendation.  Students will submit their applications to the LL.M. program while the courses at CMU are underway or just after the conclusion of the second course.
