As part of our Orientation program, we have included a Public Service Activity day to emphasize the importance of community involvement and serving the public interest for your development as law students and future lawyers. Although the activity is optional, we hope you will decide to participate. You'll be helping others in need, and it's a great way to get to know your new classmates better!
Students who participate will work on one of the available projects. The projects can either be hands-on or face-to-face, depending on the site you choose. We are still finalizing the details of each volunteer opportunity, but in past years the options have included:
- Painting over graffiti or planting flowers at a community center
- Gardening at a senior home
- Sorting clothes at a shelter
- Working with children at a community center
