Summer Start 2020

We are pleased to offer students who are admitted to the fall entering class the option to begin their law school studies early by taking Criminal Law during the summer term. The class contains a mixed enrollment of both day and evening division students, and meets two nights per week from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. beginning in late May.

Full-time day division students in the first year typically take 16 credit hours in the fall semester and 13-15 credit hours in the spring semester. Full-time students who opt to enroll in the summer Criminal Law course will take 3 credit hours during the Summer 2020 term, 13 credit hours during the Fall 2020 semester, and 13-15 credit hours during the Spring 2021 semester.

Part-time evening and part-time day students in the first year typically take 11 credit hours per semester. Part-time students who opt to enroll in the summer Criminal Law course will take 3 credit hours during the Summer 2020 term, 8 credit hours during the Fall 2020 semester, and 11 credit hours during the Spring 2021 semester.

Registration information for the summer start will be available in March. If you do not wish to begin in the summer and plan to follow the traditional fall schedule, you do not need to register at this time. You will receive registration materials for the traditional fall schedule in late June. (Please note that the law school reserves the right to cancel courses due to insufficient enrollment.)
