Data Privacy and Security

This course will explore the complex data privacy and cybersecurity challenges that individuals, businesses, and other organizations face as they navigate the many legal issues implicated by new and evolving technologies.  Using a mix of case studies based on recent legal controversies in the tech industry, materials drawn from policy and legal developments, and transactional documents and other legal materials, the course will encourage students to explore and assess the intersection of technology and law, as well as how technology is influencing the law.
