Directs the daily activities of the Information Technology Services department, providing the infrastructure to support the University's networks, email systems, Internet activities and distance learning initiatives. Provides leadership and supervision to staff of training and technical professionals.
Acts as main contact for customer service support. Provides technical support and conducts computer training sessions for faculty, staff, and students. Responsible for online computer training and tutorials. Consults for desktop applications and software. Also maintains the accounting functions of this department which include lab printer management, computer specifications, creates usernames, network accounts and maintains the hardware and software of this department. Provides supervision to help desk staff.
Oversees day-to-day maintenance of web server access, web pages, DNS, search engine, and mailing lists. Assists with web training/support and with updating the ITS web pages. Creates and maintains policies for Unix servers. Provides long range goals for designing and integrating new systems, servers, and applications.
Ensures daily server backups are running, performs patch installation for servers, assists the Help Desk with students, faculty, and staff. Prepares system images for deployment via Dell KACE, Wifi credential creation.
Assist with administrative functions of the DTC College Service Center, the Audio Visual Department and serve as programmer for computerized security system and back-up programmer for computerized telecommunication system.
Deliver, set up and operate audio visual equipment in classrooms, auditorium, courtroom and other in house location. Instruct users in basic equipment operation. Duplicate and or edit tapes, CD's and DVD's. Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs of common audio visual equipment.
