Password Information


My.iit.edu is the Official and Only Place to Change Passwords!

 

Instructions to Change and Synchronize Chicago-Kent Password

Faculty, Staff, and Returning Students

  • Go to my.iit.edu and enter your myIIT Portal ID, which is the same as your Chicago-Kent username.
  • Click on My Account and change the password.
  • Click Save Changes.
  • If you are not already viewing the main Welcome page in myIIT, click on the "Back to the Welcome Tab" link at the top right under the myIIT logo.
  • Click the Training and Support Tab.
  • In the Google Apps Account Maintenance box on the right, scroll down and click the red "Sync Your Password" link.

New Incoming Students

  • Go to my.iit.edu and enter your MyIIT portal ID
  • Click on My Account and change the password,
  • Click Save changes. This will automatically change your Chicago-Kent password.
  • To synchronize the Google Apps password:
  • If you are not already viewing the main Welcome page in myIIT, click on the "Back to the Welcome Tab" link at the top right under the myIIT logo.
  • Click the Training and Support Tab.
  • Under Google Apps Account Maintenance box on the right , click the red "Sync Password" link.

After your password is changed

  • Faculty and Staff
    • If you are in the office, you must log off your office computer and log back in with the new password
    • You will need to reconfigure any mobile devices, such as mobile phones, iPads or laptops that are currently set up to use Chicago-Kent email or connect to the DTC wireless network.
  • Students
    • For student org office/lab computers: Log off and log in with new password
  • All Users
    • You will need to reconfigure any mobile devices, such as mobile phones, iPads or laptops that are currently set up to use Chicago-Kent email or connect to the DTC wireless network.
