External Scholarships

Throughout the year, the Office of Admissions receives notices of scholarships that are offered through external organizations. Information about the scholarship awards that are currently available is listed below. Award notices are listed in the order in which they were received.

New! The Helen C. Kinney Scholarship Award

Application Deadline: April 15, 2024

In order to honor the memory, vision and leadership of Judge Helen C. Kinney, the DuPage Association of Women Lawyers has created the Judge Helen C. Kinney Scholarship. All first, second and third year women law students, with a DuPage County connection, enrolled in an accredited law school in Illinois are eligible for the Judge Helen C. New! The Ashley M. Haws Scholarship Award

Application Deadline: April 15, 2024

Ashley M. Haws was a rising star in the DuPage County legal community who provided fearless
legal representation for her family law clients as an Associate Attorney at Davi Law Group, LLC.  To honor Ashley’s memory, the Ashley M. The LMJ Scholarship Award

Application Deadline: May 1, 2024

The LMJ Scholarship Program is dedicated to nurturing the academic and professional careers of outstanding law students. The Boone County Bar Scholarship Award

Application Deadline: May 31, 2024

The Boone County Bar Association awards scholarship(s) each school year to student(s) that are accepted or currently attending an American Bar Association accredited law school. The applicant must either be a current Boone County resident or a resident of Boone County at the time of his or her high school graduation. The Cabaniss Johnson Scholarship Award

Application Deadline: June 6, 2024

The Cabaniss Johnston Scholarship’s aim is to recognize and assist academically outstanding second-year law students who are also Alabama residents, and, further, to help promising law students become lawyers who will make a positive impact on society. The scholarship was endowed in 1987 by the law firm of Cabaniss Johnston Gardner Dumas and O’Neal; the Alabama Law Foundation administers the scholarship. Interested students can learn more and apply via the following page: Cabaniss Johnston Scholarship
 

The Honorable Timothy C. Evans Scholarship Award

Application Deadline: April 19, 2024

“The Honorable Timothy C. Evans Scholarship” was established to honor the commitment and dedication that the Chief Judge of the Circuit Court of Cook County, Timothy C. Evans, has devoted to the Northwest Suburban Bar Association (NWSBA) and to the community of Cook County. 

The Scholarship is available to law school students currently accepted to attend or attending an Illinois accredited law school and who resides in Cook, Lake, DuPage, or McHenry counties and who have demonstrated a commitment to the highest scholastic standards. Interested students can learn more and apply via the following page: Timothy C. If you have been awarded a Chicago-Kent scholarship for the 2023–24 academic year, please refer to the scholarship policies from the current Student Handbook for important information concerning your award.
