"Intelligent Design" - Profs. Christopher Buccafusco & Jonathan Masur

Professor Christopher Buccafusco of Cardozo School of Law and Professor Jonathan Masur of the University of Chicago Law School gave a intellectual property talk about their forthcoming article "Intelligent Design" on March 19, 2018, at Chicago-Kent. They discussed how the current ways of channeling designs into the appropriate IP protection regime -- copyright law, design patent law, or utility patent law -- no longer work, and they propose a variety of solutions that would improve design protection, balancing the law’s needs for incentives and competition.

This talk was co-sponsored by Chicago-Kent’s Intellectual Property Program and Center for Design, Law & Technology (cΔ,).
