Public Interest Resource Center (PIRC)
Our student-staffed office assists other students achieve their public service goals. We provide information for those who are interested in public interest, volunteerism, and pro bono legal work. Primarily, we help students find legal and non-legal projects, including one-time and ongoing service opportunities.
Moreover, we administer the program that awards the Chicago-Kent Certificate of Service and the Dean's Distinguished Public Service Award, which recognizes outstanding student volunteer efforts. Students can register, submit hours, and review eligibility requirements online. Recipients of these awards are recognized at our Public Interest Awards.
Email the Student Counselors for any questions or to set up an appointment.
If the office is locked, you may slip any paper time sheets under the door. Please note that the PIRC office is closed during the summer and winter intersessions and on days when no classes are scheduled during the regular academic year.
