Selection

Illinois Tech’s Chicago-Kent College of Law awards honors scholarships based on academic performance, leadership qualities, and co-curricular activities. Applicants should have a Law School Admission Test (LSAT) score of at least 160 (or combined Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) score of approximately 315) and strong undergraduate grades. Candidates selected as finalists for the Honors Scholars program typically have cumulative undergraduate GPAs of at least 3.50.

Applicants who do not meet these requirements will be considered for other law school scholarship awards. Find more information on other Chicago-Kent scholarship opportunities.

Finalist Interviews

Finalists for the Honors Scholars program will be selected in late February. Selected candidates will be invited for an interview day on Friday, April 5, 2024. Finalists will interview with the dean and law school faculty, and meet with current Honors Scholars. Chicago-Kent will cover travel and hotel expenses for finalists from outside the Chicago area. The interview day will be held in conjunction with the 2024 Admitted Students Weekend on Friday, April 5, and Saturday, April 6.
